Scottsdale, Arizona- Scottsdale-based nonprofit organization ElevateMeD is proud to announce Trailblazer Award recipient, Mr. Larry Fitzgerald, Jr. and The Larry Fitzgerald Foundation for their remarkable efforts in championing 'Breast Believe’, a breast cancer awareness campaign curated by the foundation. The ElevateMeD Trailblazer Award is awarded to individuals who are making extraordinary contributions within the world of healthcare with the intent of eradicating health disparities. ElevateMeD will present the award at its fifth annual signature event Explosion of a Dream on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the Mountain Shadows Resort (5445 E Lincoln Dr, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253).

Established in 2019, ElevateMeD is committed to elevating the field of medicine by providing financial support and mentorship to future physicians. In addition, ElevateMeD recognizes physicians and community advocates who are also working tirelessly in alignment with the mission of improving healthcare for all through its Breaking Barrier and Trailblazer awards. Due to Mr. Fitzgerald’s long-lasting philanthropic work supporting youth education and breast cancer awareness and resources in communities of color, ElevateMeD selected Mr. Fitzgerald to be a 2023 Trailblazer Award recipient.

About LARRY FITZGERALD, JR.
Larry Fitzgerald, Jr. is the founder of The Larry Fitzgerald Foundation. A respected philanthropist, business owner, investor, and former wide receiver for the National Football League (NFL), The Larry Fitzgerald Foundation was established in honor of his mother Carol Fitzgerald, who passed away from breast cancer in 2003. The foundation's mission supports youth education and breast cancer awareness and has made a significant impact across Arizona and Minnesota. Breast Believe, a breast cancer awareness campaign of The Larry Fitzgerald Foundation, was established in 2022 with the mission of educating communities of color about early detection, prevention, symptoms, treatments, resources, and access surrounding breast cancer diagnosis for women and men. Through free mammography screenings, educational events, and grant support, the organization continues to provide resources and support to aligned organizations, women, men, and families who have experienced the impact of a breast cancer diagnosis.
ElevateMeD will formally present the Trailblazer award during its Explosion of Dream scholarship fundraiser event at Mountain Shadows Resort on Saturday, September 23, 2023. The event features a dynamic dinner program featuring live entertainment, an exciting live auction, award presentations, and the keynote address delivered by ElevateMeD Scholar Dr. Abigail Solorio.
