I am most proud of my younger brother. He completed his bachelor's degree in neuroscience in 2.5 years and is now pursuing medicine. He is a disciplined, hard worker yet remains humble and keeps his sense of humor throughout multiple challenges. It never fails to bring a smile to my face to reflect on all the memories we have created and I look forward to finding out what we can accomplish in our lives as we continue to persevere.
You might be surprised to know that in my free time, I enjoy a variety of interests. You may find me dancing among the crowd at concerts, playing beach volleyball, filming nature while hiking, or trying all the food while traveling. Whether or not it involves music, exercise, or adventure, I am always sure to keep the good company of my friends and family.
ElevateMeD is… an opportunity to learn, connect, and grow with others with the goal of becoming a stronger leader in medicine. It is a program focused on the professional development of students from underrepresented backgrounds. It is a great honor to be a future ElevateMeD scholar and I know that the connections I make and the lessons I learn from ElevateMeD will positively impact how I practice medicine years from now.
