About Elevatemed Awards
Established in 2019, the organization determined it wanted to recognize physicians and community advocates who are also working tirelessly towards improving healthcare for all through its Breaking Barrier and Trailblazer awards. The Breaking Barriers Award is the organization's highest honor, and last year’s award recipient was Dr. Wayne Franklin of Phoenix Childrens’. Due to Dr. Bonds's tireless commitment to serving her patients and families, supporting the next generation of physician leaders, and being a leading advocate for women’s health and heart disease, the organization selected Dr. Bond for this award.
“Dr. Bond has used her career to advocate for women’s heart health while also inspiring the next generation to be fearless and excellent within their careers,” shares Dr. Alyx Porter Umphrey, Founder and Executive Director of ElevateMeD. “We are all inspired by her passion and look forward to celebrating her accomplishments at Explosion of a Dream.
