I am most proud of becoming the first physician in my family.
You might be surprised to know that I competed in bodybuilding during my gap year.
ElevateMeD is… an initiative created by very generous people to help alleviate the financial burden most minority physicians throughout training.

I chose to pursue a career in anesthesiology because I enjoy moment-to-moment decision making as well as the practical application of physiology and pharmacology. 3% of anesthesiologists are reported to identify as Black/African-American. Of those 3%, the majority are women.
