You might be surprised to know that I recently ran my first half marathon!
ElevateMeD is… more than a scholarship program, it is a community of advocates who are ready and excited to mold the next generation of impactful physicians. I would not be where I am today without the people who have supported me in my life, and it is my goal to pay it forward to the younger generations one day.

I chose to pursue a career in anesthesiology because I enjoy moment-to-moment decision making as well as the practical application of physiology and pharmacology. 3% of anesthesiologists are reported to identify as Black/African-American. Of those 3%, the majority are women.
