We are a vehicle for substantive lasting change.
We are the SOLUTION!
Why Do We Do It?
COST IS THE TOP REASON QUALIFIED STUDENTS FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS REPORTED NOT ENROLLING IN MEDICAL SCHOOL (AMA).
The cost of medical education in the United States has become prohibitive, distracting bright students from seeking a career in medicine.WE NEED A MULTIFACETED APPROACH.
The ElevateMeD Scholars program will provide significant financial assistance to medical students while providing them access to mentorship, leadership training, and financial management education.HEALTH DISPARITIES CONTINUE TO SIGNIFICANTLY IMPACT OUR WORLD
We aim to increase physician workforce diversity and improve cultural competence among physicians to reduce health disparities.
What We’ve Accomplished In 5 Years!
Thanks to the power of the Collective, we have awarded over $1.2M in tution-based scholarships and support to underrepresented medical students.
In 2019, we started with 10 medical schools and have since grown to 27 partner schools.
We have provided leadership, professional development, and mentorship to 70 medical students from across the United States.
We have provided resources and a mentor network to more than XX nominees, thus contributing to the overall success of even more underrepresented medical students.

Tips for Recording
VIDEO FORMAT/SETUP: FILM YOUR RECORDING HORIZONTAL/LANDSCAPE
Whether recording from a laptop, desktop or mobile device so that your camera angle is level to the floor and horizontal. Position yourself close to the screen so that we can see from the top of your head to your upper torso only. This also ensures that we can hear you clearly by having you positioned closer to the microphone of your device.CLEAR BACKGROUND/WORKSPACE:
Make sure that your area that is in camera view is clear from any sensitive information, is clear and neat, and without any brand labels present that could present potential trademark issues.GOOD LIGHTING:
Natural daylight is best. If you have the option to be in an area with daylight, place your video setup there for this recording. If you do not have access to record with daylight, make sure that there is enough available light to see you clearly.REMOVE BACKGROUND NOISE:
Select a quiet area that is free from background noise.
