Nominating Your Students

2020 ElevateMeD Scholars. The ElevateMeD Scholars program is a multifaceted program designed to develop the next generation of physician leaders.  In the inaugural year, ElevateMeD will competitively award $40,000 scholarships ($10,000 each year) to the ten most talented medical students from backgrounds underrepresented in medicine.

 

Partner School Nominations are open!

Confirmed and active partner schools for the current academic year will receive an email with detailed instructions for completing nomination submissions by Friday, January 26, 2024.

The Nomination criteria are:

  • Enrolled in one of ElevateMeD’s Partner Medical Schools for 2024-25 school year in a MD or DO program

  • M4 (2024-25)

  • In good academic standing

  • Identify as underrepresented in medicine (Native/Indigenous, Black/African-American, Latinx)

  • Must be a U.S. citizen

  • Agree to participate in ElevateMeD Programs including but not limited to: Mentoring, Financial Management Education, Leadership Training and the annual Scholars Summit

  • Agree to promote ElevateMeD and attend events

 

What to expect

if your medical school has one campus…

  • Nominate 3 students that will be actively enrolled for the 2024-25 school year (not away on a fellowship or enrolled in another academic program).

  • previously nominated students may be nominated again

if your medical school has more than one campus…

  • Schools with multiple campuses that operate as separate entities...
    each campus will nominate 3 medical students

  • Schools with multiple campuses that operate under a single entity...
    the school will nominate 3 medical students total (from any of your campuses)

  • previously nominated students may be nominated again
