Sarah Benish, M.D.

Dr. Benish is a general neurologist and Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota. She attended Indiana University School of Medicine for medical school and completed her neurology training at Mayo Clinic Rochester, Minnesota. After working for 10 years in a physician owned private practice she joined the University of Minnesota. This career move allowed her to focus more on teaching medical students and residents while also focusing on bringing high quality neurological care to all patients in a health system.  She currently serves as a Physician Chief for the Neuroscience Service Line at M Health Fairview where she leads growth strategy and clinical quality for neurology, neurosurgery, spine care and pain services.  She currently is a member of the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Neurology and is Secretary of the Board. She also serves as Chair the Registry Subcommittee for the American Academy of Neurology focusing on using a registry to improve the quality of care for neurology patients.
